Not Another Week Delay

June 5–6 – Since our boat projects were delayed another week, we made a last-minute decision to drive to North Carolina and spend the weekend with Jackie’s parents. It was a wonderful opportunity to slow down, enjoy family time, and take a short break before jumping back into boatyard life.

Sometimes the unexpected delays open the door to unexpected blessings.

June 8 – We drove back to Charleston with Papaw to get some extra helping hands on the boat projects.

June 9 – Another productive day at the boatyard! Papaw taught the girls how to sand and paint, and they helped sand the outdoor seating table before applying a clear coat. We inspected the progress on the boat, added the decal to the other side, and officially completed both decals!

Adam also got his first hands-on experience repairing fiberglass—a new skill to add to the growing list of boat projects and lessons learned along this journey.
